Due to the recognition of contemporary societies to the importance of the good health for the individual and community, that increased the interest of providing the individual`s health care services at various levels. The hospital building is characterized by fast and successive developments that appeared due to several scientific events and medical researches which leads to the appearing of hospital`s new career requirements that makes it one of the most complex and massive public buildings. The variables of medical, science and technology produced in mutations and changes of health caring and treatment methods which made changes in the diagnostic and therapeutic concept that in turn is reflected in the hospital`s design.
من خلال إدراک المجتمعات المعاصرة لأهمية الصحة الجيدة للفرد والمجتمع، فقد زاد الاهتمام بتوفير خدمات الرعاية الصحية اللازمة للأفراد على مختلف المستويات.
مبني المستشفى يتميز بالتطورات المتتابعة والسريعة التي ظهرت نتيجة احداث علمية متعددة وابحاث طبية ينشأ عنها متطلبات وظيفية جديدة جعلته من أکثر المباني العامة ضخامة وتعقيدا، فالأحداث والمتغيرات العلمية والطبية ثم التکنولوجية مثلت عوامل مسببه لإحداث طفرات وتغييرات في وسائل العلاج والرعايا الصحية، ومن ثم احدثت تغييرات في المفهوم التشخيصي والعلاجي الذي انعکس بدوره على تصميم المستشفى.
