Abstract

Urban heritage is one of the most important components of urbanization, which expresses the human ability to solve the problems of the surrounding environment. Through the experiences and values of civilization, social and religious accumulated through generations, and the Arab region abounds in a diverse urban heritage and deserves sustainable preservation of its construction, and the problem of research lies in the neglect of most buildings of value in our existing cities. The research aims to develop a strategy and environmental and societal standards for the reuse of these buildings to preserve the sustainability of heritage values and urban identity. The research assumes that if this strategy is developed, it will be the best way to preserve them and ensure their survival and continuity. The research adopts inductive and descriptive comparative approach to link the elements of urban and architectural design for heritage areas, and the comparative analytical approach to study global, regional, and local experiences, through which it was possible to confirm the positive impact of reuse and preservation of buildings of heritage value in the sustainability of urban and architectural identity. The research concludes with results and recommendations that confirm Achieving sustainability dimensions to preserve urban heritage.
يعتبر التراث العمراني أحد أهم مكونات العمران والذى يعبر عن قدرة الإنسان في حل مشكلات البيئة المحيطة خلال تجارب وقيم حضارية واجتماعية ودينية متراكمة عبر الأجيال، وتزخر المنطقة العربية بتراث عمراني متنوع ويستحق حفاظ مستداما لعمرانه، وتكمن مشكلة البحث في اهمال غالبية المباني ذات القيمة فى مدننا القائمة نتيجة لما فرضته مستجدات العصر الحديثة، مما أدى الى التهديد بزوالها وفقدان هوية المدينة، ويهدف البحث لوضع استراتيجية ومعايير بيئية ومجتمعية لإعادة استخدام هذه المباني كأسلوب للحفاظ على استدامة القيم التراثية والهوية العمرانية، ويفترض البحث انه اذا تم وضع هذه الاستراتيجية فسيكون أفضل وسيلة للحفاظ عليها ويضمن بقاءها واستمرارها، وينتهج البحث المنهج الاستقرائي والوصفي المقارن للربط بين عناصر التصميم العمراني والمعماري للمناطق التراثية، والمنهج التحليلي المقارن لدراسة التجارب العالمية والاقليمية والمحلية والتي امكن من خلالها تأكيد الأثر الايجابي لإعادة الاستخدام والحفاظ على المباني ذات القيمة التراثية في استدامة الهوية العمرانية والمعمارية، ويخلص البحث الى نتائج وتوصيات تؤكد تحقيق ابعاد الاستدامة للحفاظ على التراث العمراني.
